History
1980
- Enrico Marchi with other partners founded Finanziaria Internazionale. The company was established on April 17, 1980 under the name of Finvest S.r.l.
1982
- Gruppo SIPI - a joint venture with Benetton - was set up with an aim to establish an integrated group of financial companies.
1986
- Agenzia Italia was set up, one of the most notable firms providing advisory services and dealing with the management of transportation practices.
1989
- Eurisko Italia was founded, a company dedicated to credit recovery.
1991
- In March, Banca Commerciale and Finint structured the first securitised loan in favour of Finleasing Italy, Auriga S. r.l. (Value: 140 bln).
1994
- Finanziaria Internazionale and BNP Paribas structured the first international securitisation transaction in favour of banking institutions on behalf of Banca Italease, Iris no.1 (value: 100 bln).
1997
- Finleasing was set up, a company operating in the lease brokerage and financing business.
1998
- Finanziaria Internazionale acts as Permasteelisa's advisor for the listing on the Milan Stock Exchange.
1999
- The Information Technology company Fin.It was set up.
- FISG was founded, a company dedicated to the management and structuring of securitisation transactions.
- In September, Agora Investimenti S.p.A. acquired 20% of the capital of SAVE - Venice Marco Polo Airport. Finanziaria Internazionale became part of the SAVE Group.
2000
- On December 1, Assicurazioni Generali subscribed a capital increase and made its entrance in Finint (with share equal to 10%).
2001
- Securitisation Services S.p.A. was set up and it became the first Italian servicer dedicated to the management of securitisation transactions.
- Securitisation Services achieved the "ABOVE AVERAGE" rating by Standard & Poor's for the role of Master Servicer of ABS transactions (the second best level on Standard & Poor's worldwide scale).
- Finint & Partners S.r.l. was set up to provide Advisory activities to companies operating in the private equity field.
- NEIP was founded, an investment company supporting SMEs (Finint acts as sponsor and advisor).
- In 2001 the magazine ‘Structured Finance International’ awarded Finint the prize for what was judged to be the best international transaction - the same recognition was awarded also in 2002 - and for having contributed to the growth of structured finance at European level.
2002
- Finint acquired a share in the capital of SAFI Insurance, a company operating in the insurance services sector.
2003
- Finint, with Lazard and Mediobanca, was judged one of the best merchant banks in business and it received the international award "Le Tre Frecce d’Argento della Finanza". The same prize was also awarded in 2004 together with Mediobanca and Vital & Associates.
2005
- Finint acted as advisor for the listing of the SAVE Group on the Milan Stock Exchange.
- Finint AIternative Investment SGR (today Finint Investments SGR) was set up, an asset management company authorised by the Bank of Italy.
2006
- Finint acted as advisor of the Cimolai Group of Pordenone in the acquisition of a share in the capital of Permasteelisa (a second transaction was carried out in 2008).
- In November, Finint acted as Financial Advisor for the listing of Banca Generali and Ascopiave Group on the Stock Exchange.
2007
- Agorà Investimenti purchased the stake of Marco Polo Holding held by the regional finance company Veneto Sviluppo, and Finanziaria Internazionale structured the two transactions.
- Joint Venture in Sogepim RE, a company managing property leasing transactions.
- Finint acquired a majority stake in the share capital of ACB Consulting, today ACBGroup Sviluppo S.r.l. (business consulting).
- FI Consulting was set up, a company operating in the field of compliance with regulations for financial intermediaries.
- NEIP II was set up, an investment company operating in the infrastructure sector.
2008
- Partnership with Morgan Stanley's Infrastructure fund.
- Finint & Wolfson Associati was set up, a company providing high-level training for businesses and public administrations.
- Finint assisted the SAVE Group in the acquisition of a significant stake (more than 10%) of Gemina, a shareholder of the company Aeroporti di Roma.
2009
- Acquisition of a stake in the share capital of E-masterit, outsourcing services for document management.
- The first Master in Structured Finance, organised by Finanziaria Internazionale, was set up with an aim to train new professionals. The second (2010) and third edition (2011) were centered on Corporate Finance.
2010
- Finanziaria Internazionale launched Fondo Copernico, the first Italian fund dedicated to renewable energy.
2011
- Finanziaria Internazionale bought out SAVE S.p.A.
- MCS S.p.A. was set up, a loan brokerage firm of the Group.
- NEIP III was set up, an investment company dedicated to Italian SMEs.
2012
- Global Casa S.r.l. was set up, a company providing services for real estate agencies.
- Securitisation Services was rated "STRONG" by Standard & Poor's for the role of Master Servicer of ABS transactions (the highest score of the rating scale adopted by S&P’s).
2013
- Finint Investments SGR launches Minibond PMI Italia, the first Italian fund to invest in minibonds.
- First investment for NEIP III, a company managed by Finint & Partners (private equity).
- The Fondo Housing Sociale Trentino gets the go-ahead, the first initiative in the Finint Investments SGR sector.
2014
- Finint structures the first securitisation in Italy, with the intervention of the EIB and EIF in favour of SMEs.
- ACT International is created, a new business specialised in strategic, legal and tax consulting for globalisation.
- Finint Green Hub gets the go-ahead, a project dedicated to the requalification and optimisation of the Italian real estate heritage.
- The Viveracqua Hydrobond 1 operation comes to a close, the first bond issue of the system dedicated to financing the water sector.
- Finanziaria Internazionale becomes a bank, Banca Finint is born.
